Soaring green-swathed cliffs roll effortlessly into the ocean in the country Grace Kelly called her royal home. The tiny independent city-state of Monaco is located on France’s Mediterranean coastline. Despite its small size, it’s synonymous with luxury. Casinos, yachts, and even the Grand-Prix can be found in this glittering mecca, and it’s no wonder why; it’s a place designed for royalty.

Who’s been spotted there?

Between the ultra-exclusive Grand Prix and yacht scene, Monaco attracts a wealth of famous faces. Bella Hadid, Chris Hemsworth, Adriana Lima, Leonardo DiCaprio, Serena Williams, and Rihanna have all found their way to the glamorous city. As will many more, we’re sure.

Where to sleep?

Ever wanted to live like a royal? Wherever you choose to stay in Monaco, you will experience unrivalled elegance. From:

Where to find the best coffee (and breakfast)?

In our opinion, a homemade pastry and coffee is the only way to start the day. THE place to head in Monaco, is Emilie and the Cool Kids. Their speciality is gooey-melt-in-your-mouth cookies (what’s not to love there?). The cute patisserie has ample seating, but we suggest rambling down history-filled lanes with breakfast in hand.

Where to play?

Did we mention yachts abound in Monaco? It would seem a shame to go all that way without setting sail on the smooth seas. Live like that famous do and charter yourself a yacht to experience everything the coastline has to offer.

Where to shop?

The people of Monaco love their style, which makes for some world-class shopping.  While it’s hard to pick just one spot the Métropole Shopping Center exudes luxury. Amongst the marble and chandeliers you can flit from high-end designers and jewellers, to restaurants and art galleries.

Where to eat, and drink?

For a meal to remember, head to Le Louis XV - Alain Ducasse. This three Michelin-starred restaurant seats a maximum of 50 people (make sure you book!), and serves only the best produce from the region. From the food and gilded interiors, to the phenomenal service; every detail is worth it.

Once you’ve eaten your fill, or before — who’s judging, head to Saphir 24 for a tipple. The seaside views from the soaring windows are simply stunning.  Fair warning though, this is 24 hour bar so you may not want to leave.

Where to swim?

With its emerald waters, Plage des Fossettes Beach may just be the jewel in Monaco’s crown.  A half hour drive from Monaco, this pebbly beach is perfect for snorkelling. Best of all, it’s within walking distance to another gem; Plage des Fosses. Anyone up for a beach crawl?

What to wear?

Fit in with the luxury, with our favourite picks below...

Monaco style: Swimsuit - Zingiber; Dress - Tibi; Bag - YSL; Keyring - Marc Jacobs; Sunglasses - Christopher Kane
